Low cost counselling for adults, children, young people, and couples

Low cost counselling for adults, children, young people, and couples

Walk Tall's low cost counselling service is available to adults, children, young people and couples, making it affordable for those on low incomes or with other financial constraints. The service is available in the Dartford, Gravesend, and Swanscombe areas. Counselling is available face-to-face or remotely via phone or video services.

We provide counselling on a one-to-one basis or as a couple for couple's counselling.

As a training organisation our counsellors range from highly qualified therapists who have undertaken additional training in specialist areas to placement counsellors in their final years of accredited counsellor training. Placement counsellors are closely monitored, ensuring high standards are maintained.

The assessment session will enable you and the counsellor to determine if counselling is appropriate and something you wish to pursue. The information provided will enable us to match you to the most appropriate practitioner.

It is also an opportunity for you to ask what counselling may be like for you.

Once the assessment has been conducted, your request will be allocated to a suitable counsellor as soon as one becomes available. Once allocated, the counsellor will make contact to arrange the first session.

The assessment session has a fee of £20.

The ongoing session fee for the low cost service ranges between £20 and to £45 per session. (Typical fees for private practices start from £65).

The fee for couple's low cost counselling is up to £45 per session (Typical fees for private practices from £65).

Child and adolescent specialist counselling has a fee of £30-£45 per session.

The agreed fee that will be paid will depend on financial circumstances and will be determined at the assessment session.

BACP and UKCP Ethical Framework

All of our counsellors work according to British Association for Counsellors & Psychotherapists (BACP) or United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) Ethical Framework. Under these guidelines our counsellors are subject to continuous supervision, continued professional development and must hold professionally indemnity insurance and enhanced DBS clearance.

Our counsellors draw knowledge from a diverse range of theoretical schools, including Psychodynamic, Person Centred, Integrative, Cognitive, Relational and Existential modalities. Our therapists who specialise in working with children and young people also hold additional qualifications in therapeutic play.
