A Constant Journey of Discovery.
Walk tall has a long history of nurturing and developing the talent of children and young people, whether its helping them discover their artistic flair or helping to bring out their inner chatter box – we’ve seen, and encourage it all! To us, Performing Arts is more than simply just Drama, Dance and Singing, it’s a place where children and young people can freely express themselves and find new ways of interacting, with new people they’ve met, and find new friends they might have never known; all while learning key social skills and having a ton of fun!
Walk Tall Junior Academy
Walk tall junior academy has been running for as long as the charity itself; a place for 7 – 11 year olds to come, meet new people and have fun in a variety of different activities. Walk tall’s junior academy runs between 10 and 2 during which time the young people will have a chance to participate in drama, dance, singing and art. The young people are free to be dropped off and picked up at any point during this time – but be warned, they may come baring finely crafted gifts.
These are classes for 12 – 17 year olds who love acting in its purest form – on stage. Theatre CompanyStudents get the chance to work on a number of acting techniques, including vital voice and movement skills, while also helping to shape the content of their play. We’ve had great fun so far with shows like Peter Pan, A Midsummer Night’s Dream in da Club and most recently Animal Farm. Come and join the adventure every Tuesday 5pm – 7pm.
