    Walk Tall uses Creative Enterprise as a medium help less confident young people and build the foundations for them to start taking control, and responsibility for their own lives. Through Creative Enterprise, KS4 (GCSE) and KS5 (6th Form) students have a chance to learn the skills needed to become leaders, and develop careers out of their hobbies and passions in a safe, small scale learning environment.

    We understand that not everybody wants to conform to a 9 – 5 job, or have gained the required ‘C’/’4’ in English or Maths to go to college, so Walk Tall focuses on developing the key skills that are needed to improve students’ confidence, teamwork and independence – putting them in real life situations, but in a safe, controlled environment, allowing them what is needed to become future leaders and even bosses of their own businesses.

    Students learn about how to communicate with others, present themselves to clients, make key decisions on finance and market their product & selves, before having the chance to put their skills to use in a practical setting where they a given the responsibility to start, and grow, a business idea of their groups choosing – the incentive? Keeping their profit at the end of it!

    Opportunity

    Students will also have the opportunity to improve Maths and English grades, along with taking up an option in Science, Employability or Performing Arts LAMDA to help further their ambitions and honing their skills in achieving mental fortitude and independence though Creative Enterprise.

  • Key Stage 5 (16 - 18 Years)

    An exciting alternative to 6th form – a dynamic, practical course where you’ll learn some of the skills of the entrepreneur – and how to create your own business! Build firm foundations for the future and start taking control of your life!

    Deciding what to do after school isn’t easy – sixth form and college are not your only options! Walk Tall provides learners between the ages of 16 – 18 with the opportunity to grow as individuals while, being creative, and taking part in something bigger!

    At Walk Tall learners have the opportunity to be part of an initiative which will help them with the transition to the world of work through a fun and engaging programme based around our Creative Enterprise Opportunities (C.E.O) Programme. They can also improve their maths and English skills if they need to. Learners will:

    • Learn the foundations of Enterprise to help them to start to take control of their futures.
    • Learn key skills needed for life and work.
    • Have the opportunity to work towards a qualification in Science, Preparation for Employment, Communication or Acting.
    • Understand the fundamentals of how relationships work – in business, the workplace and in personal life.
    • Work towards improving their maths grades (GCSE or Functional Skills) if they need to.
    • Work towards improving their English grades (GCSE or Functional Skills) if they need to.

    Learners will also have the opportunity to take their creative business ventures from our C.E.O programme to ‘industry’ via the recognised Young Enterprise Programme…….. and all in small, friendly class sizes. This is definitely not set in a big college environment!

    Learners between the ages of 13 – 16 (Years 9 – 11) will have a glorious opportunity to take part in an initiative which helps them gain the required ‘core’ academic accreditations through a fun and engaging programme based around our C.E.O programme.

    • Work towards accreditation in GCSE English Literature

    • Understand feelings and the fundamentals of how relationships work - vital for life success.
    • Learn the foundations of Enterprise to help them to start to take control of their futures
    • Learn key skills needed for life and work
